The 2 Snap Up1 Ads wireless unit on the crane constantly reads the crane positioning data and the crane engine current. Thus the algorithm on the control unit informs the crane operator about the data of positioning of a roll, whose barcode data is given, in the storage area. At the same time, this algorithm updates the changing roll position data during roll transfer in the storage area without the need for the barcode reading process that causes loss of time. By realizing a single barcode reading process at the storage entry and exit, the finding, transfer and loading of a roll in the storage area are realized speedily and without problems.

The reading of the X and Y axes position data is realized with Laser distant reader units. The Laser readers are assembled at proper positions on the bridge crane. These readers transfer the position data over the RSS 422 line on the laser readers to the wireless Ethernet I/O unit. The Z-axis is detected with the absolute encoder connected to the wireless Ethernet I/O unit on the crane operator cabin.
